About us

In the lively realm of music, where melodies sway and rhythms entwine, there's a fire that's been burning for a solid 19 trips around the sun.

It's a fire stoked by creativity, courage, and the audacity to venture into uncharted territories, setting hearts ablaze with unwavering passion.

This fire, an alchemist of sorts, harmonizes with the emotions that resonate within each of us, listening to our deepest desires and transforming them into anthems that reverberate in the souls of those who encounter it.

It's an architectural fire, erecting monuments forged in the furnace of artistic expression, pushing the boundaries of imagination and transporting us to a new dimension beyond the horizon.

Authenticity guides its way. It doesn't settle for the ordinary; it craves boldness and uniqueness.

It's not just about entertaining or amusing; it's about leaving an indelible mark on those who allow themselves to be enveloped by its warmth, conveying messages of love, hope, rebellion, vigilance, contemplation, or gratitude.

This fire radiates energy and life, evolving into a beacon that lights the path for those who are lost or disheartened, embracing them in a comforting embrace.

May this flame keep burning, unwavering and tireless, touching our souls and leaving its imprint on all of us, inspiring us to chase our own dreams and discover our distinctive voice in the symphony of life.

  • Ricardo Ferreira

    CEO | Producer

At 12, Ricardo faced a birthday choice: a game console or a guitar. Music didn’t interest him much, so he picked the console. To his surprise, he got both. The console was soon forgotten… but the guitar never left his side.

Since then, he has traded his bedroom for arenas, festival stages, and over 500 shows across the globe.

In 2005 he co-founded Blim Records and has since shaped key chapters in the careers of artists like Aurea, D’ZRT, Nena, and Bárbara Tinoco. A producer, songwriter, guitarist, and musical director, Ricardo brings more than 20 years of experience, hundreds of thousands of records sold, dozens of Gold and Platinum awards, and millions of streams. But what excites him most isn’t the numbers... it’s the shared stories and the spark of creating something together.

For Ricardo, music is only real when it’s built collaboratively, until everyone feels part of the result. His mission: to help artists find their true voice and turn it into something moving and lasting.

Alongside Blim Records, Ricardo sits on the board of AMAEI and leads the Music Creation and Production course at ETIC. At heart, he’s still doing what he always has: connecting people through music, one story at a time.

  • Rui Ribeiro

    CEO | Composer

Rui first discovered music at age 8, sitting in the backseat of his father’s driving school car. While the instructor questionably made grocery stops along the way, the car always ended up parked outside a music school. The sound of instruments pouring out fascinated him, his father took notice and enrolled him on the spot.

More than 25 years later, Rui is an acclaimed composer, arranger, orchestrator, and pianist known for his versatility. From film and television to video games and major events, from pop to and classical, his eclecticism has led him to work with orchestras, ensembles, and award-winning artists, earning two Golden Globe nominations for Best Music in Portugal.

Between solo records, orchestral works, and soundtracks, Rui has a passion for building sonic identities and crossing musical cultures. That passion also drives his international work, especially in China, where he frequently collaborates with musicians and orchestras.

In 2023, after nearly two decades of collaboration, Rui joined Ricardo Ferreira to co-lead Blim Records. At the core, he’s still doing what moved him from that first glimpse through the car window: turning curiosity into emotion, and emotion into music.
